RAILWAY CHIEF PHARMACIST DONATES EYES.


Mrs. Padma Rani, a native of Secunderabad, who was working as a Chief Pharmacist in the Railway Department, passed away today at the Railway Hospital in Mettuguda, Secunderabad due to illness.



Padma Rani was working as a Chief Pharmacist in the Railway Department. She also earned a good name as a poet, writer and cartoonist. Upon learning of her death, Ganji Eswara Lingam and Pallavol Ramana, founders of Amma Eye, Organ and Body Donation Promoters Association, together collected corneas through ""Vasan Eye Bank". They congratulated her husband Rambabu and daughter Ramya for their cooperation. Speaking on the occasion, they called for making eye donation a family tradition and for donating eyes to brighten the lives of the blind
